“Light Cuts”
Studio Di Segni carried out this apartment renovation in the heart of the historic centre of Ruvo di Puglia. Despite the floor plan remaining largely unchanged, the spaces have been optimised and personalised through custom fittings.
The concept centres on the interplay of light cuts and interlocking elements, with dramatic, scenographic lighting that highlights every corner. Neutral tones of white and sand, paired with oak laid in Italian herringbone on the flooring and wall boiserie, create a warm, inviting ambience.
Colour accents — such as the ottanio (teal‑blue) sofa and seats, and emerald glazed ceramic wall tiles in the bathroom — bring vibrancy. The living room opens with a large sofa in blue‑green ottanio, facing an essential TV wall and a bookcase framed with copper tubing.
The kitchen, with white lacquered doors, integrates a solid oak table with iron legs. The bathroom—unique in the apartment—conceals the washing machine in a niche, while the bedroom features storage solutions and sliding doors in smoked glass and aluminium for the walk‑in wardrobe.
